Yahoo billboard in San Francisco

Oprah has retired, Regis is leaving, the Harry Potter saga is over, and yes, the sign is coming down. Many will be sad to see the iconic Yahoo billboard in San Francisco leave its post at the end of this month.

The San Francisco Egotist reported that talks with Jon Charles, sales manager for Clear Channel Outdoor, confirm the space will be available starting the first of December.

The Yahoo sign is perched off Interstate 80 as you head out of the city toward Oakland, Reno, and beyond. It has remained steadfast through the dot com boom and bust, from the late 90s to today. But, come the end of November, it will be replaced. The only question remains, by who?
